In 1996, Terri began medical school at the University of California, San Francisco where she was allowed to simultaneously train in botanical medicine.She took a year off and studied herbal medicine. After internship, she completed her Board Certification in Integrative and Holistic Medicine. She is a member of the American Holistic Medical Association, the Holistic Pediatric Association and the American Botanical Council.
