Darren L. Lish, M.D. is proud to announce the opening of his new psychiatric practice in general and forensic psychiatry, located in Lakewood, Colorado, serving the greater Denver area, including Lakewood, Littleton, Golden, Wheat Ridge, Arvada, and the foothill communities of Evergreen, Conifer, Bailey, Pine and Idaho Springs. Dr. Lish received his medical and psychiatric training at Yale University School of Medicine. He is currently on the clinical faculty of the University of Colorado Department of Psychiatry, and serves as the Chief of Psychiatry for the Colorado Department of Corrections. Dr. Lish beleives strongly in taking an individualized, integrative approach to each of his patients with the use of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology when needed. He has expertise in the treatment of depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, schizophrenia, ADD/ADHD, and personality disorders. He works with adolescents and adults. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Lish is serves as a psychiatric expert for civil and criminal legal matters. He is on staff at the Colorado Mental Health Institute Pueblo, conducting sanity and competency evaluations for the state. Dr. Lish is available to provide consulatation to lawyers needing psychiatric expertise in their legal work.
