He received his medical degree from Alexandria University in Alexandria, Egypt. Dr. Hamed completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at St. Francis Medical Center and Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA (currently known as University of Pittsburgh). He practiced medicine full time at Baton Rouge Ochsner Health System specializing in treating musculoskeletal pain and electrodiagnosis. Dr. Hamed served as Head of Department of Physical Medicine & Rehab. More recently, he practiced medicine in the Hammond and Denham Springs areas. Dr. Hamed currently owns a private practice in the Greater Baton Rouge area. Dr. Ayman Hamed has received extensive training in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and is experienced in treating many chronic pain syndromes, musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders. Common conditions that we treat in our office include: headaches and migraines, Fibromyalgia, arthritis, sports injuries, carpal tunnel and pain that affects the lower-back, neck, elbow, foot, knee, shoulder and hip. spasticity, spinal cord injuries and personal injuries We place an emphasis on interventional pain medicine techniques and advanced procedures. We take a multidisciplinary approach to pain management. Treatment options include physical therapy,medicaions, pain medications, and epidural steroid injections; just to name a few.
