Physical Therapy & Spine has specialized in treating orthopedic problems of the spine and extremities since 1994. What sets us apart from other therapy clinics in the area is the experience of our therapists. Each physical therapists has approximately 20 years of clinical experience as licensed physical therapists treating complex orthopedic conditions. We can usually tell within 3-4 visits if we can help a patient. Unlike many other therapy clinics, we will not waste your time (or money) with passive treatments that are largely ineffective and unproven. We succeed where other local clincs have failed. We continually help patients who have not gotten relief at the ~large-chain~ therapy clinics around the Chicago area. Physical Therapy & Spine is the only McKenzie-based therapy clinic in the Chicago south suburbs that applies the McKenzie Method in its purist form (and only one of a few clinics in the state of Illinois). Current evidence-based research has proven that patients get better faster with the McKenzie Method compared to traditional physical therapy interventions. The hallmark of the McKenzie Method is empowering and teaching the patient how to treat and manage their pain with specific exercises and strategies. As the proverb says, instead of just ~giving you a fish~ we will teach you how to fish (and help yourself). At Physical Therapy & Spine, we utilize the McKenzie Method on all areas of the body, not just the lumbar and cervical spines. The McKenzie Method is effectively applied to shoulders, knees, hips, ankles, and even the temporo-mandibular joint. We also specialize in treating patients with vestibular problems. We accept most insurances and are Medicare certified. We also accept workman's compensation and we do work conditioning.
