Physiotherapy Associates has been serving the Des Moines, IA metro area for 6 years. The SE Des Moines location was added in late 2007. Prior to moving to our current location, in March 2008, we were located in the Aspen Athletic Club. Our team consists of two physical therapists, Amber Augustine, D.P.T and James Laughlin, P.T.A. Amber, who serves as the clinic director, received her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Iowa. She has been practicing physical therapy for 5 years and specializes in general orthopedic rehabilitation with an emphasis on manual therapy, sports medicine and industrial rehabilitation. James Laughlin is a physical therapy assistant who is also a personal trainer. He graduated from Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines. He specializes in sports medicine as well as general orthopedics. Our therapists are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care. They are able to do this through one-on-one patient treatments, consistent communication with the patient and physician and by creating an individualized plan of care to meet each patient's specific needs and goals.
