The release of a white dove at a funeral or memorial service is an elegant and peaceful tribute to a loved one. A family member releases a single dove to represent the spirit of the deceased. The dove ascends into the sky symbolizing the final farewell as it journeys to its final resting place. Family members have expressed that this experience provides closure for them.
