The Barber Memorial Home, Inc. has been serving families of our community since 1930 when Ivan A. Barber began our funeral home on Broad Street in Johnson City, New York. In 1940 he purchased the present facility, the former home of Harry L. Johnson, of the Endicott-Johnson Corporation from his widow. In 1953 a partnership was formed with his son Robert W. Barber and in 1976 Robert's son Kenneth W. Barber purchased the business giving the community a third generation dedicated to serving families in their time of need. Ken's daughter Kyla D. DeBlock has now joined her father to carry the family name to a fourth generation.
