Merion Memorial Park is a 31 acre cemetary, over 100 years old and was originally owned by Mr. James Smart. Mr. Smart was a man who loved and respected people from all walks of life. He established this Memorial Park for people of all color and all religions. Throughout time Merion Memorial has been passed down from generation to generation. On November 13, 1884, it was purchased by John J. Laird and his wife Katie. Later it was purchased by the Honorable Hopson Reynolds and his wife Evelyn along with their business associates and long time friends the White family. Merion Memorial Park is part of the cultural fabric of the community and an impotant component of Lower Merion and Bala Cynwyd's rich history!

Nulty Funeral Home was established in 1888 when James T. Nulty began to offer his services as "Practical Embalmer and Undertaker" in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. In 1905, the business moved to 4292 Frankford Avenue, where it still stands proudly on the corner of Church St. Also in 1905, John Nulty joined his father in the funeral home at the age of 16 and began to learn the family business. The tradition continued as John's son James came into the business in 1938, and James Jr.in 1965. Currently, three generations work together in the funeral home. While Jim continues to supervise the funeral home, the majority of the everyday responsibilities fall to his granddaughter, Sarah and his s0n-in-law, Paul.
