Along with serving strictly musical goals, we pay special attention to making our pianos beautiful objects to have in your homes. We have worked with interior decorators in New York City and in the Berkshires to find them specialized pianos with unique design features to complement interior design projects. In 1978, Gary Harlan Ross established Harlan Ross Pianos, while an apprentice of top Steinway factory-trained technicians Angelo Andino (soundboards, pin blocks, and stringing), Louis Begonia (dampers), Osserio Fernando (actions), Steve Minkoff (actions, tuning), John Tamigi (refinishing). Prior to 1978, Gary Harlan Ross taught piano and composition at Indian Mountains School, Salisbury School, Dutchess Day School in New York, and in the Berkshires.
