Dr. Maria L. Castillo received her M.D. degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She completed her Residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She served as the Site Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Berkley, Michigan and was also an active member of the teaching faculty of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan. While at Providence Hospital, Dr. Castillo was appointed to the Executive Council of Employed Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Women’s Health Care Council and the Obstetrics and Gynecology Performance Improvement Committee. Dr. Castillo is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and provides services at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women and Newborns, Pomerado Hospital, Scripps Memorial Hospital LA Jolla and Sharp Grossmont Hospital.
