Whether you're after a quiet romantic getaway or a weekend of vigorous outdoor activities, the Kankakee River Valley will calm your soul or awaken your spirit. The Magruder House B&B is a Queen Anne Victorian with jaw dropping curb appeal. Step inside and you are surrounded with original antique oak woodwork. Ten foot ceilings lift the weight of the world from your shoulders. Stained glass windows and crystal chandeliers create a feeling of comfortable elegance. Choose from three guest rooms. The four-room, 700-square-foot Henry's Suite is a luxurious retreat with a sitting room, separate bedroom with a king size four-poster bed, complete kitchen and a private full bath. It could be quite possibly the nicest guest accommodation in Kankakee County. The Oriental Room shares the fantastic guest bath just down the hall with the East Room. The East Room is the smallest of the three guest rooms, but is still sumptuous. A $20 per night "privacy upgrade" to either the Oriental or East Rooms means we won't book the other room making the guest bath exclusively yours. The many amenities of the Inn include: premium bedding and towels; watch your favorite program on the LCD television with built-in DVD player; surf the Net from your own computer using the complimentary Wi-Fi network; enjoy in-room music on the iPod stereos (select rooms); and soft background music plays throughout the first floor.
