I was recruited into insurance when I was still at Plymouth State University, and I started work as an agent right after graduation. Though I advanced to senior positions over the years, I’d have had to leave New England to go any further — and that was something I was reluctant to do. As luck would have it, I was approached by an agency owner I knew in Vermont in 2004, and he asked me to buy his business so that he could retire. It was unexpected, but exactly the opportunity I was looking for. The chance to buy my second agency, here in Concord, came about in much the same way in 2014 when the former owner tapped me to take over. I count myself lucky because I love my work, and I love doing it in a beautiful place like this. So I make sure we do our part to keep the community strong. We’re members of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce and we support the Capitol Region Board of Realtors — and my team knows that I’ll always support the charities that drive their passions, too.
