Contra Costa Veterinary Hospital was purchased by Dr. Craig Smith in 1983, from Dr. Walker Poston. While Dr. Smith practiced and cared for the animals, Dr. Smiths wife, Linda, was the full time receptionist, bookkeeper, kennel work, assisting you name it! As the practice began to grow, so did the staff. In time, Dr. Smith grew Contra Costa Veterinary Hospital into a 2 doctor practice with a staff of over 12, featuring technicians, kennel assistants and front office. Most recently, Dr. Jill Pindar has joined Contra Costa Veterinary Hospital as the only full time veterinarian, while Dr. Smith decided to spend more time with his family, making him the part-time veterinarian at Contra Costa Veterinary Hospital.
