His dedication and life-long path has truly been around the martial arts, specifically Tae Kwon Do. When he was 3 years old, he began training under his legendary master, Yun Sung Do. He has been taught under these amazing teachings and continues to learn and grow and pass on his life lessons. Grandmaster Song has dedicated the majority of his personal life to training, teaching, living the philosophy of Tae Kwon Do since he was a young boy in South Korea. Tae Kwon Do, which translates as Tae (foot), Kwon (hand), Do (art); is the art of self-defense. This martial art form is one of the oldest forms in the world, going back more than over 2,000 years and began in Korea. The name was selected for its appropriate description of the art. Aikido was founded by Morihei Ueshiba in the early twentieth century. It follows a philosophy of throwing, striking, and pinning techniques used to resolve conflict. Often times use of swords, staff, and knife training can be a part of this practice. Taking from his study of both armed and unarmed teachings, Morihei Ueshiba created Aikido and it is now widely practiced.
