Mechanical Fabrication Group provides quality metal fabrication, on site installation and welding services of new or used products to a variety of industrial and municipal customers. Started in 1996 as a partnership between Ray Clugston and Chris Buck, the company was first known as C&R Fabrication. The company began as a fabrication operation in a small shop just outside of New Holland, PA. In 2003 C&R Fabrication merged with Ace Mechanical, an installation company that had been working with C&R Fabrication for many years. The new company was called Mechanical Fabrication Group, effectively combining the fabrication and installation work of both companies under one roof. As a result of the merger, the company moved to a new 10,000 square foot facility to house the equipment and personnel from both companies and make way for expansion. In 2007, Ray and Chris started another company to sell metal highway products. Partner Chris Buck left Mechanical Fabrication to handle sales for the new company. He still maintains a partnership with Ray and the new highway products company contracts with Mechanical Fabrication to manufacture all their highway parts. Today Mechanical Fabrication employs a shop foreman and a 5-man crew with over 25 years' experience to handle a diverse array of metal fabrication, welding and installation projects. Owner Ray Clugston still works in the shop from time to time to keep things running smoothly.
