Farr Veterinary Hospital was established on May 31, 1985 by Dr. Randy L. Farr, who was a member of the very first graduating class of L.S.U. School of Veterinary Medicine in 1977. With a dream in his heart and a goal in mind, Dr. Farr set out to open a hospital that would not only provide the highest quality health care for his patients but also provide the best possible service to clients. The hospital initially opened with only one part-time employee working alongside Dr. Farr and a handful of clients. However, it has steadily grown over a span of 25 years, only to experience its greatest measure of growth just this past year. On July 1, 2010 Farr Veterinary Hospital became a partnership. Finally, Dr. Farr was able to share his dream with someone as equally dedicated to the world of veterinary medicine as he. We are happy to now have Dr. Jae H. Chang on board as a full-time veterinarian and partner with Dr. Farr. Dr. Chang is a 1999 graduate of North Carolina University where he received a Bachelor's in Animal Science. Dr. Chang went on to graduate from L.S.U. School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Before coming to Lake Charles, LA he practiced in Las Vegas, Nevada for 4 years where he gained much of his veterinary experience. Farr Veterinary Hospital is a full service facility that provides preventative care for your pets by offering routine consultations, checkups, and vaccinations, as well as complete care for your sick or injured pets. We offer diagnostic laboratory testing, radiology, surgical care, and hospitalization when necessary. Our hospital also offers bonus services such as boarding and grooming.
