Dr. Hetel Bhakta is a board certified optometric physician. Her emphasis is in providing quality eye care. Her thorough eye examinations include contact lens fittings, treatment of eye diseases and co-management of refractive surgery cases. She is the owner and Optometrist at Planet Vision Eyecare. Born and raised in the U.K., she completed her degree in Optometry in Manchester, U.K., before she moved to the United States. She proceeded to complete her Doctorate in Optometry at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. She continued her education with residency training in Ocular Diseases at a renowned ophthalmology practice in Miami, FL. She has experience working in medical optometry, serving patients with eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. Her passion in academics led her to take a position as Faculty Clinic Instructor in the Optometry school at NOVA Southeastern University, educating soon to be graduate eye doctors. Dr Bhakta now dedicates herself full time to her practice. She is a compassionate eye doctor who takes the time to address her patients’ concerns and takes pride in a practice that puts each and every patients first.
