Dr. A. Jay Binder is a Board-certified and Fellowship-trained sports medicine orthopedic surgeon, Binder was the director of the Sports Medicine Center and previously a partner of The Bone and Joint Center. He is now a partner in Crescent City Orthopedics, a premier orthopedic group and physical therapy in Metairie, LA. He specializes in the arthroscopic and minimal incision treatment of orthopedic injuries and ailments. He has offices on both sides of the lake in Metairie and Covington, LA. Sports Coverage: He has served as the team physician for over 20 years at numerous gymnastics events, including the U.S. Championships, Olympic Trials, and World Championships. He has also covered the Olympic Trials for USA Track and Field, Jr AAU Championships and covered all high school and jr. high sports (football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, wrestling, track, dance, cheer and more) for dozens of schools in the metro area. He is on the Board for USA Gymnastics and is on the International Medical Commission for the FIG.
