As members of the Private Companies Practice Section of the Division for Firms of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants, the firm is dedicated to the highest standards of quality and service. The firm has maintained its office in the Quad Cities at 2543 Tech Drive in Bettendorf since 1968. The firm presently consists of two partners: John N. Sherrick, CPA, MA and James K. Blake, CPA. Sherrick holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Knox College and a master's degree in accounting from the University of Iowa. Beginning his public practice in 1971, John has been a partner in the firm since 1975. John is licensed to practice in both Iowa and Illinois and is a member of both the Iowa and Illinois Societies of Certified Public Accountants. John is active in a number of civic and professional organizations, having served as Chairman of the Bettendorf Chamber of Commerce in 1995 and as President of the Bettendorf Development Corporation in 1998. John serves as a discussion leader through Surgent McCoy CPE, LLC for tax continuing education courses for CPAs throughout the United States. John has presented seminars in all 50 states. James K.
