Midwest Performing Arts provides a professional and encouraging environment in which our students can learn the art of dance while also learning skills needed for a successful life. We believe that introducing and enriching people’s lives in dance is a wonderful gift that will last forever. Our progressive program offers training in dance technique grounded in Ballet, Modern and Jazz Dance, while including Tap and Hip Hop styles of dance. It is important as a dancer to have a well rounded education in many different forms of dance. Our schedule and curriculum allow each and every student to learn in many genres. The faculty are highly trained professional instructors with degrees in dance and professional performance experience and all use positive reinforcement to help students in attaining goals. MPA is housed in a state of the art dance facility with proper dance floors for safety, a comfortable waiting area for parents and visitors, and in a location easily assessable to the community.

Madison College's Performing Arts is the producing arm of the theater and music departments. Two to three productions are offered each year. Involvement can be as an audience member, performer or technician. Volunteers are needed to help with each production. Free parking is available in the Student Lots directly across from the theater entrance on Wright Street. Due to construction, this entrance is currently closed however. Madison Area Technical College provides top, hands-on training for more than 140 careers through our associate degree and professional certificate programs - including more than half of the "Top 50 Fastest Growing Occupations" identified by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
