Our History Frolic Inn™ was founded in the early 1970's by Helen and John Madlinger, Sr., who opened it as Vinroc Kennels. When they first looked at the land in Wildwood, Missouri (where the kennel resides now), Helen worried out loud whether it would be a good spot to start their business. It was in the middle of nowhere, and rocks and vines covered the area (hence the name Vinroc). When Vinroc opened, the kennel offered just two services: boarding and grooming.
