My name is Alex Fischer, I am the principal photographer and owner ofFischer Williams Photographic Studios based in Northern Westchester,NY.I started working as a professional photographer in 2001 whileserving as a professional staff person on Capitol Hill in Washington,DC.I work with professional digital equipment both on location and atmy studio in Waccabuc, NY. I have an extensive wedding, portrait, family event, corporate eventportfolio as well as loving participating in and photographing sportingevents. My style tends to be photo-journalistic with formal highlights,but my emphasis is on service, identifying my clients needs andphotographing with that in mind. I really enjoy experimenting with shadows and contrast, using anglesof natural light to better define and bring energy to thephotograph.With people it is interesting to use all there facets of photography toemphasize the feel, mood or emotion of the moment.I especially lovephotographing an expression on a person’s or persons’ face that elicitstheir personality in reaction.The look of a bride upon her groom justafter exchanging rings and right before the first kiss, the raw joy andsadness on the face of the Dad and Mom dancing with their newly marriedchild, or the all knowing look between a married couple, the seriousnessand passion of a speaker at the podium or the pure joy of a childsmiling trying to please a parent standing behind me while posing for aportrait.Capturing the expression of emotions are timeless and eachversion of these photos are unique While a majority of my work is weddings, bar/bat-mitzvahs, families,notable clients include the New York City Marathon, IMB, EdelmanPublications, Center for Audit Quality, the Massachusetts BarAssociation, The United States Senate, the Avon Foundation and theWestchester Junior League.
