Steve Guynup, PT, AT,C (Athletic Trainer Certification), is also Center Manager for the Bluffton outpatient physical therapy center. With over 18 years experience, Steve has become successful in effectively treating clients with general orthopedic, geriatric, sports and work related injuries and disorders. Steve earned his Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac College in Hamden, CT, in 1992 where he also completed the requirements to become a Certified Athletic Trainer. Steve has earned numerous post graduate continuing education certificates in spinal, sacroiliac, and peripheral joint mobilization/manipulation, muscle energy techniques, soft tissue mobilization, vestibular rehabilitation, as well as industrial medicine/management of the injured worker. He has completed additional training in the field of golf swing performance enhancement which he incorporates into his traditional rehabilitation programs to assist injured golfers in returning to their sport. Additionally, through continued education, Steve has become proficient in conducting Functional Capacity Evaluations and workstation assessments and is able to establish individualized work conditioning programs to assist injured employees in returning to their occupations following work related injuries.
