Dr. Van Ness has a passion for learning new techniques and has pursued thousands of hours of continuing education to stay current with research and new technology. Dr. Van Ness specializes in the Gonstead Method of Chiropractic and is Full Body Certified in Active Release Techniques, both considered the "gold standard" for their record of safety and effectiveness. Dr. Van Ness is well versed in the more than 500 specific soft tissue treatment protocols that are unique to Active Release and custom designs a unique approach to each individual patient. Dr. Van Ness is a post-graduate Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician through Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr. Van Ness is also certified in chiropractic pediatrics, Mally Extremity Protocols, Gait Training, Functional Movement and is a member of the Ironman Provider Network. In his 18 years of practice in Barrington, Dr. Van Ness feels very privileged to have cared for thousands of families for almost every healthcare condition imaginable.
