With over thirty years' experience in all aspects of the picture framing field, I am able to offer my clients the following services: 1) HELP and suggestions in making esthetic decisions - choosing framing, matting, proportions, color and other elements in order to enhance the appearance of a piece 2)ADVICE in the use of those materials and methods which will help to preserve and protect items being framed - these would include UV filtering glass, acid free board, proper mounting methods, etc. - UV light causes fading and acid in wood and cardboard causes paper to turn brown 3) CUSTOM FINISHING of and color adjustments to moulding 4) FRENCH MATS - custom, hand-painted lines, color bands and designs 5) IF YOU CAN'T FIND the frame you're looking for, I'll try to locate it 6) MIRRORS - a fabulous frame on a mirror can make it so much more than just a utilitarian item - beveled mirrors available 7) PICTURE HANGING - a job most people don't enjoy 8) SHADOW BOXES - three dimensional items such as antique fans, books, musical instruments, costume articles, etc. can be safely and effectively displayed 9) FABRIC PIECES - articles of clothing, lace, needlepoint, quilting, etc. 10) FRAGILE ANTIQUES - careful handling and the use of proper materials and preservation methods 11) RESTORATIONS - paintings, frames and photos - most antique family pieces can be saved and restored, frequently realizing a "night and day" improvement - also, a painting's background and information about the artist can often be illuminated through research 12) THE UNUSUAL PROJECTS - I love a challenge 13) I AM AVAILABLE by appointment only, including evenings and weekends (503-591-8038) 14) I will give a project the time and attention it takes to do it right in order to assure your satisfaction
