An old tin barn may seem a humble beginning, but Earl Nellesen and his wife Joyce used a fire hose to wash down just such a 40 X 80 wood-floor building, which would become The Earl of Plumbing store. The year was 1956, and this store in Anaheim was the couple’s first. Some customers still remember the early days of radio advertising when Earl himself sang his famous, "Never fear, The Earl is here" jingle. Still others may remember The Earl's building that was built in the late -60s at the corner of Lincoln and Manchester, in Anaheim. Earl Nellesen earned an outstanding reputation over the years, not only as a business leader in the industry, but as a community minded businessman who expressed gratitude for his success by giving back to the community. His professionalism and generosity have earned him much respect and many tributes.
