A Child's Garden preschool and kindergarten, located at NE Studio RD, Bend OR., offers a loving and nurturing environment for your toddler, preschool and pre-kindergarden children. Our teaching philosophy is based on the Waldorf education curriculum. Which was founded by Austrian Philosopher Rudolf Steiner in 1919. The Waldorf Curriculum is unique in the way it views the child and teaches to the whole, being the head, heart and the hand. Steiner believed the child had a unique capacity for creativity and that they learned in the early years by imitating, thereby engaging their will and doing. Rudolf Steiner realized the great importance of imaginative play and through play how they discover language, communication, creativity, develop their senses and motor skills, social skills, abstract thinking and much more. Our Classrooms: Blue Jays: 4.5 – 6 year old Apple Blossoms: 3 – 4 year old Chickadees 2 – 3 year old Daisies: 1 - 2 year old The morning programs are from 9 – 1 pm, Extended Care begins at 7:45 am until the programs start at 9:00 am with the afternoon program starting at 1:00 pm and finishing at 5:45 pm. Our Summer program starts June 1st and continues until August 26th.
