The Merit School of Stafford offers programs for Preschool, Jr. Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First grade, Before and After School care as well as Winter Spring and Summer Camp Programs. First and Second Grades are also offered. The Merit School curriculum is designed to meet the developmental and educational needs of the young child. Virginia’s Foundation Blocks for Early Learning guides us in the literacy, math, science and social science concepts that are developed in our Preschool through Kindergarten programs. Our programs are designed not only to meet, but also to exceed the Virginia Standards of Learning. Merit of Stafford’s small classes and individualized instruction supports our comfortable and child-centered learning environment, which eases the transition from home to school for our students, and ensures their learning success. Extended Care is offered for elementary students for the convenience of families in the public school district. Schools serviced are: Kate Waller Barrett, Hampton Oaks, Winding Creek, Partridge, Garrisonville, Rockhill, Margaret Brent Elementary and H.H. Poole and A.T. Wright Middle Schools. Extended Care students are provided a nourishing breakfast and afternoon snack. Hours: 5:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
