Agrinsonis, LMT: It took me over 10 years to decide to become a massage therapist. The first time I received a massage was the result of a spa gift package that I received one year that I broke up into a series of massages. After the first massage I was hooked and I can, to this day, recall thinking "I could do this. I would love to work in this type of environment and help people to feel better and get rid of their stress." Over the years, I have gotten countless massages including relaxation massage, therapeutic and sports massage, and it is rare for me to find a massage therapist who truly gives a great massage all around. Most of the massage therapists who have worked on me do a few things really well but then lack in some area. Most of them do not listen to what you tell them. Many do not cover the full body (excluding obvious areas). Many will do the feet but then leave out the glutes or they will do half-hearted work on the neck and shoulders - the area where most people hold most of their stress. I have had therapeutic massage done at a time when I was already in pain and ended up hurting for two weeks afterwards. Or better yet, I will go in for a relaxation massage only to have the therapist do a lot of techniques that are anything but relaxing and talk to me the entire time I am there. It has been very difficult to find an MT who is consistent in everything that they do and who gives a truly awesome massage. By far, some of the best massages I have received have been at high-end expensive spas. The massages tend to be very exquisite and the massage therapists are trained in a certain way to offer the highest quality massages. Staff: We also have several other highly-skilled massage therapists who work with us part-time, who assist with couple massage, our promotions, hotel and chair massage. Health and wellness: Staying healthy has always been an interest of mine and massage therapy caught my attention because of all the natural benefits it provides and the way it effectively deals with pain, stress and fatigue. The experience of stress headaches and anxiety in the earlier part of my life caused this learned knowledge of relieving the body of toxins through massage therapy to be of great importance to me. Massage Philosophy: It is my belief that the human body is an awesome creation and that has the inherent ability to heal itself. I believe that massage is one of the most powerful ways that we can speed up the healing process and that the body should be treated as a whole rather than dealt with in parts. This is why I always seek to integrate the whole body. If one part of a person's body is tense then it could affect another part. If one part is in pain it will inevitably affect either a neighboring muscle or the opposite side of the body will overcompensate for it. So I believe in first balancing
