Tricia Turpenoff Portrait Gallery celebrates the non-conformist! All Turpenoff staff live their lives by beating their own drums, thinking outside the box, choosing the road less traveled. So, it is no coincidence that the people we photograph are unique in this fashion. The Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw said it best, “Some men see things as they are and ask why. Others dream things that never were and ask why not.” You could say that those words are the gallery's motto. We’re never afraid to push the envelope! We are always trying new and different things both with our photography as well as our unique product creations. This is what makes our studio so remarkably different from others. We want to hear your stories, what makes you different, what makes you tick, your hopes, dreams and silliness. Finding the true person inside is why our images look so different from one another. There are many photographers that will create fine images, but the question is: will that photographer be able to make you feel comfortable enough to truly be yourself and let your light shine through while taking these images. We DO!! In just one consultation, we will get a sense of who you are and what you love. We will take notes and listen carefully to gain insights into you. The essence of you will be the driving force in your photography session. It is paramount that you are photographed as you are, not what we think you should be. During our photo sessions, we are always bouncing ideas off each other, one of us may see the light, while the other one sees the right angle for the image; Mike is the naturalist capturing all the intimate moments, while Tricia is the big picture person who works with the posing. So, on every level we’re working together on what we individually do best. Above all, we always have a lot of fun!! Whether on a session at Red Rocks, or at the studio editing and jamming to music, we enjoy what we do and it shows!!
