Grogg’s Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. was founded in 1970 by Leon B. Grogg. Although it began as a part-time venture, it quickly became a full-time business in which Leon spent many years serving the people of the Parkersburg area. He loved his business and was passionate about serving his customers with great honor and respect. In 1996, Leon’s daughter and son-in-law, Carma and Tim Hanlon purchased the company from Leon. They were no strangers to the business, however. While Carma grew up in the heating and air conditioning business working closely with her father for many years, Tim also had the opportunity to work alongside Leon, learning all aspects of the business. In September 2005, Grogg’s opened a branch in Clarksburg, West Virginia which Leon’s grandson, R. Keith Blair manages. Because of the tradition of excellent customer service, the steady growth also allowed for the acquisition of three other successful HVAC businesses. Grogg’s Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. is now one of the largest and most successful HVAC companies in the state.
