Originating in ancient China more than 2,000 years ago, traditional acupuncture is the oldest continuously practiced medical system in the world. Acupuncture is based on the laws of nature, which flow from one season to the next. As humans, we flow from energy that Oriental Medicine calls “chi.” When a person’s energy is in flow, there is harmony, joy, and inner peace. When the flow is impeded, an imbalance occurs, causing disharmony and dis-ease. Symptoms begin to appear. Acupuncture creates balance in the energy channels, restoring flow and easing symptoms. In acupuncture, we look at the core or root of dis-ease. When we address the core, healing begins.
