I have an amazing home child care/preschool called Nutty Buddies located on 2 acres at the Erie Airpark (Hwy 7 and Lowell Blvd./Bonanza Drive). We have a separate entrance, a huge fenced play yard, dedicated space including a kitchen just for chef Nutty Buddies(!), a large playroom, crib room and bathroom. We also have a huge covered outdoor play area so we spend time outdoors everyday, weather permitting. Nutty Buddies plant, care for and harvest an organic garden, we have an outdoor turtle enclosure that we use to study the habits of our 3 box turtles and a covered outdoor classroom that provides a unique learning environment. My goal is to make sure every Nutty Buddy feels safe and secure while Mom and Dad are at work. They get a lot of one on one attention and love! I strive to assure the Nutty Buddies have fun while learning everything they need to know to be ready for kindergarten, that includes manners and respect. I have a zero tolerance policy toward hitting, biting, pushing, etc. We practice hugs, problem solving, and how to be a good friend daily. I teach phonetic sounds with the alphabet so reading is an easy transition. Matter of fact, 98% of the Nutty Buddies are reading First Start Early Reader books before they leave for kindergarten! The infants and toddlers join us during pre-school and it's amazing how early they learn some of the skills! I started my pre-school when my daughter was one year old and she's now in college so needless to say, I have a lot of experience, materials and referrals! I hold one of the few Experienced Provider Child Care Licenses issued by the State of Colorado (you have to meet extra training and licensing requirements to be eligible to hold this license).
