Advantage Crotched As Crotched Mountrain enters our 7th season of operations bringing Southern New Hampshire skiers and riders excellent snow, fun terrain and a great atmosphere, we would like to give you some insite into why Crotched has an "Advantage" over other mountains... Snowmaking: 100% Fan Snowmaking Technology allows Crotched to create the driest snow possible in the shortest amount of time. With the most energy efficent system in the Northeast, not only has Crotched Mountain been the first resort 100% open in the past 5 out of 6 seasons but the snow produced from our system was dry, resilient and easily groomed. Withstanding weather conditions and skier traffic throughout the season, Crotched's machine snow is the closest thing to heaven, next to a 2 foot powder dump! Grooming: Starting with the 09/10 season, Crotched Mountain will be grooming the slopes with 2 brand new identical Kaessbohrer grooming machines. These 2 Pisten Bully 400 park machines are "terrain park capable". That means we will be able to build our parks faster and with more presision. One of the two new machines is equipped with a newly developed hydraulic flap system which is designed fro "seamless" passes (no or less ridges). These amchines also give us the ability to go closer to the trail edges. Lodge: After many debates on the "looks" of the Crotched lodge, the verdicts have come in...."all in one building... easy to get around... huge rental shop with direct slope access for beginners... inside ticket windows keep you warm... clean and spacious cafeteria with plenty of room and tables... lots of cubby holes for storage in the lobby"... and this year.... A brand new FIREPLACE! Crotched Mountain skiing and riding conditions for the 09/10 season will be even closer to heaven.
