Sometimes, nursing homes or retirement centers seem to be the only options for care. Visiting Angels of Central Illinois' non-medical homecare services allow people to maintain the independence of their daily routines in familiar surroundings. We can help your loved ones avoid the emotional trauma of leaving their cherished homes. We believe that you and your family should have a choice about where and how to live, as well as who will provide your care. At Visiting Angels of Central Illinois, we know it isn't easy to make the decision to invite a caregiver into your home to provide non-medical homecare. That's why our personalized screening system is designed to maximize your peace of mind. You'll have the opportunity to interview any caregiver that we refer to you. We let you choose the caregiver you trust. If you would like to set up an in-home visit without any obligation or commitment, or just talk with our Visiting Angels of Central Illinois staff, please contact us at one of our 3 Central Illinois offices. We will be happy to answer any questions you might have. We understand that this is a very important decision, and that you need to have all your questions answered. Visiting Angels of Central Illinois runs a criminal background check on each new caregiver. However, we also emphasize intangible traits, such as a caring personality. When you meet our caregivers, you'll be pleasantly surprised to see that at Visiting Angels of Central Illinois, character matters! You won't get "lost in the shuffle" with us. Some agencies are too big or simply react to calls from clients rather than anticipating your needs in advance. We begin by reviewing your needs through discussions with involved family members. When necessary, we consult with the care recipient's healthcare providers. Our service coordinator carefully selects the caregiver with the necessary experience and personality that is best suited to the needs of each client. Next, we arrange for the caregiver to visit your home so that you can participate in the selection process. After service begins, we implement our system of ongoing personalized contacts with your family to see that the care recipient is receiving the best possible care.
