Driftwood Day Camp was established in 1959. With the acquisition of Driftwood in 2008, the Kuznetz and Wagenberg Families turned Driftwood into the premier day camp on Long Island. With a magnificent completely rebuilt and renovated campus, Driftwood is the only camp named Best of Long Island by the Long Island Press for five consecutive years. Driftwood is dedicated to providing a safe, comfortable and exciting summer home for all of our campers. Driftwood’s the place where campers build confidence and self-esteem in a nurturing, caring environment. At Driftwood we believe that every camper should be inspired to do something great, whether building on previous experiences or learning activity skills for the first time. Driftwood delivers a sleep-away camp experience in a day camp setting. Our campers can be heard chanting and cheering throughout camp each day, and the pride they take in their summer home is the key to their fantastic summers.

A Summer Day Camp with all its benefits for children plus an extensive horsemanship program to teach children to care for and interact with a living being as well as riding lessons all year long after school! Our Summer Camp blends swimming, sports, and arts with a full horseback riding program. We have bus transportation from most towns on Long Island.
