Baptist Medical Center South The Surgery Department consists of 20 operating rooms (OR), including two cystoscopy rooms and two open heart rooms, a same day surgery center, anesthesia department, outpatient department, central sterile, post anesthesia care unit and endoscopy department. Combined, these entities perform 20,000 cases each year. The main OR is staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Baptist Medical Center East Baptist Medical Center East has six operating rooms and performs approximately 6,000 surgical cases a year. Both inpatient and outpatient surgeries are performed. Our excellent staff of registered nurses and technical personnel, along with the excellent staff of surgeons, work hand-in-hand with departments such as radiology, emergency, laboratory and pharmacy. Prattville Baptist Hospital Prattville Baptist Hospital's surgery department encompasses not only surgical procedures but also endoscopy and pain management procedures. Both inpatient and outpatient surgeries are performed. The surgery department consists of three operating rooms, one endoscopy room and a four-bay post anesthesia care unit with a negative pressure isolation room as a fifth patient care room/bay.
