East Lake has received multiple awards including “Practice of Excellence” by the Veterinary Medical Publishing Group, “Best In Dallas” by the Dallas Observer, and received the “Best Vets” award from D Magazine. We care for dogs, cats, and even potbellied pigs and birds. For your convenience, you can make an appointment or leave your pet with us for the day. Either way, we make every effort to accommodate your special needs. We care about the details, because our clients know that little things can make a big difference. In addition to medical care, we are proud to offer lodging, bathing, grooming, daycamp, and massage. When pets arrive at East Lake for lodging they are evaluated by a veterinary nurse who provides a health screening and makes sure pets are parasite-free. Our pet guests stay in our specially designed noise-controlled suites and cabins and we even have TV sets and toddler beds, so pets feel right at home. Cybersuites are available too, so pets can be seen anytime, from anywhere computer access is available and veterinarians are on site 7 days a week. Pets also enjoy outside walks and playtime. We routinely feed the highest quality prescription and Hill’s foods or if you have special feeding requirement

Our Mission The mission of North Dallas Veterinary Hospital is to guide and give service to pet owners by providing sound medical diagnostics, treatment and care for the companion animal, with emphasis on quality of life and the reciprocal emotional bond. Our History Dr. Terry Ford established North Dallas Veterinary Hospital in 1987. In 1992 he hired his first full time veterinarian to meet the growing client base. The support staff has also grown to include registered technicians and the many other highly trained employees necessary for high quality medicine. The hospital has continued its growth so that it now requires Dr. Ford and three full time veterinarians to fulfill the medical needs of the animals it serves. Our Accreditation The American Animal Hospital Association was founded in 1933 and today is respected internationally for its dedication to professional development, setting hospital standards, and excellence in its publications and educational programs. To be accredited American Animal Hospital Association hospital member, our hospital must meet the Associations high standards for quality veterinary care, including stringent requirements for our facility.
