It is owned by Duane S. Mangini V.M.D. and is a Maryland corporation (Duane S. Mangini V.M.D., P.A.). Parkville Animal Hospital has purposely remained small (one or two veterinarians maximum) to preserve the intimacy and exceptional veterinarian - client communications that only a small business can provide, without sacrificing quality of care. We first opened on March 15, 1985 and originally occupied one store (formerly a pizza parlor) in the middle of a small strip shopping center at 8600 Harford Road in Parkville. As business grew, we expanded to an adjoining storefront in 1988 and a third storefront in 1995. The expansions allowed room for additional examination rooms, a larger surgical suite, a dental suite, well-pet boarding runs, digital xray machine and an ultrasound/telemedicine room.
