The staff at the animal medical center would like to welcome you to our community. Choosing a new veterinarian can be a difficult and worrisome process. We know how important it is that your pets receive only the best in preventative and diagnostic medical care and treatment. With our caring, knowledgeable staff and modern hospital you can feel confident that your pet will receive the best possible medical treatment and attention. The amc and bird clinic of hollywood is a full service veterinary hospital for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rodents, rabbits, ferrets, monkeys and other exotic species. Additional services are provided for your convenience - overnight boarding, grooming, day care, house calls, and others. If you have any questions concerning the health of your pet, please feel free to call us. We offer boarding and day care for all our clients. A complimentary bath is given after 3 nights of boarding. Reservations are necessary. We have a variety of enclosures including xlarge size runs for those pets over 60 lbs. All our guests are exercise 3 to 4 times per day plus 20min of supervised recreational time at our enclosed playground. Please call our office for a tour of the facility and pricing information. Our grooming dept is open every tuesday and thursday from 8:00am to 2:00pm. Appointments are limited, so hurry an make your reservation today.

We are a full medical and surgical veterinary facility located 1 mile west of I-95 on Sheridan Street. We practice progress medicine in our 2-doctor hospital. If personal, one-on-one care is what you are looking for, you have found the right place. We are located in the Park Sheridan West Shopping center at the corner of Park and Sheridan. Our 5500 square foot facility is located on the west side of the center. In addition to our medical practice, we also offer professional grooming, bathing, and boarding. During off hours, one of the veterinarians has a digital pager so you have access to the doctors during off hours. If during the conversation, it is determined you have a true emergency, the doctor will refer you to a 24 hour emergency clinic. Dr. Ron Tapper has been practicing in Hollywood for 25 years and at the current location for 21 years. Dr. Bruce Weiner, Dr. Tapper's former associate from 2000-2007 has returned and is actively seeing clients along with Dr. Tapper.

Dr. Jose Barboza left his position as the Chief of Staff of a large national pet hospital in Aventura to open his own practice in Hollywood, Florida. Dr. Aileen Lugo, Dr. Jake Seeman, and Dr. Roberto Sanchez have joined with Dr. Barboza to provide a more flexible and personalized approach veterinary medicine. This group of caring veteranians then carefully selected team members (Camilo, Vicky, Jessica, Jessie, Kristina, Maggie Ishtar & Bill) who share their committment and passion for providing excellent pet care through state of the art medicine combined with love and compassion for the pets and their families.
