Appointments are made week days 9-5, unless otherwise noted on my phone message. I’m Dr. Mikel Oswalt, and I started Home Pet Vet in 1991. I knew some animals didn’t get the veterinary care they needed because it was too difficult to get them to the doctor. I love the area and traveling to people’s homes lets me see the beautiful Pacific Northwest from many angles. Most importantly, I get to see pets where they live. This often helps me discover environmental issues that might not be discussed in a veterinary clinic. I make home visits for cats and dogs within a 10-mile radius of Mercer Island, Washington, including downtown Seattle, north to Northgate, south to the north end of Boeing Field, west to Queen Anne and Freemont; downtown Renton, downtown Issaquah, downtown Kirkland, and West Seatttle north of South Seattle Community Collage, the watertowers on 35th, and the north end of Lincoln Park. I provide pet checkups, vaccinations, medical diagnosis and treatment, geriatric evaluations, and end-of-life consultations.
