Our Women's Center is dedicated to caring for the physical and emotional well-being of both mom and baby. Our caring staff and state-of-the-art equipment provide excellent service in Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby (postpartum), Well-baby Nursey, Level II Special Care Nursery, and Pediatrics. Whether you're starting a family or adding on to one, we understand how personal having a baby is for both you and your partner. New mothers and fathers can select the birth options that fit their needs. Expectant parents can enjoy special amenities, including: • Jetted tubs for laboring mothers • Wireless Internet connection • Sleeping accommodations for fathers or coaches • Spacious accommodations with beautiful views Fourteen large, private Labor Delivery Recovery rooms will ensure that mom and family members have a comfortable setting for the birthing experience. Highly-trained and caring staff members are with a laboring mother from the time she arrives on the unit until she is comfortably recovering on the Mother/Baby unit. Their top priorities are to help a mother have the kind of birth experience she wants and to ensure the baby arrives safely. Two OR suites are available for moms who require operative deliveries or for moms who are considered a "high-risk" delivery, such as those delivering multiple babies. Mother/Baby Both mother and baby will enjoy their stay in one of our 27 beautiful private rooms. Each mother/baby room has been designed to provide a comfortable setting for the new family and includes: • Private bathroom • TV/VCR • Sleep accommodations for the new father or another family member Our staff enjoys spending time with new mothers and families to help them feel comfortable caring for themselves and their new little one. Although mothers are encouraged to keep their newborn with them in their rooms, the Well-Baby Nursery is available anytime a mom needs to sleep or wants to enjoy a shower. Mother/Baby staff will bring the baby back whenever the mother requests. Baby Photos American Fork Hospital has partnered with Bella Baby Photography to take pictures of your newborns. Breastfeeding Support Lactation consultants at American Fork Hospital are available to work with mothers who begin breastfeeding.
