Less than 4 miles from the 1,000-foot-deep granite chasm of Colorado's famous Royal Gorge, this KOA offers dramatic views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The recently added patio sites with fire pits and barbecue grills are very slide friendly. The kids will love the Fun Country Amusement Park right next door, featuring a go-kart track, 18-hole mini-golf course and a giant gunnysack slide. Hop aboard the full-size Royal Gorge excursion train for a spellbinding ride as it slaloms along the Arkansas River at the bottom of the gorge.
