We provide an equitable learning opportunity in a safe environment for all students. We exist to educate and empower students for present and prepare them for the future. Our mission is to enhance the educational system by providing an equitable learning opportunity in a safe environment for all students. Our goal here at Desert Rose is for students, their parents, the community and staff to join in as partners to educate and empower students for present and future individual achievement, to promote contribution to their community, and to prepare them to compete in a constantly changing global society. We believe Desert Rose and the community can join in a partnership to provide a safe, attractive, and orderly learning environment. This positive climate promotes healthy lifestyles, where students realize the importance of lifelong learning, take responsibility for high personal and educational standards, and feel a greater sense of self-worth and belonging. This partnership strives for a standard of excellence where all students achieve their highest personal and educational goals. In this learning environment students will graduate prepared to pursue their life choices and to attain their personal visions of success through the following areas: Respect, Responsibility and Pride – We value self-respect and respect for others at all times and on all levels, including the community, parents, staff and students. We believe that we are all individually responsible for our own actions. Our young people learn through the examples we set, and if we instill a sense of pride in everything we do, our students will, in turn, have pride in themselves and others. Well-educated, well-rounded staff –We believe that hiring and retaining highly qualified, innovative and caring staff is essential to the success of our students, our school and our community. We provide staff with professional development opportunities to help them succeed in their respective positions and to ensure that our students learn in an environment that emphasizes academic rigor, student safety, and the integration of pride in every aspect of our programs and offerings. Integrity and Perseverance – Honesty, honor, openness, devotion and dedication are entrenched in everything we do. We have compassion for what we do and have high expectations for all, as we believe that students can achieve at high levels if provided a healthy, safe and nurturing environment. Relationships – We value the relationships our school has with our community, parents of students attending our school, and relationships within our school system. We believe that building strong relationships benefits everyone. We value the diversity in our community and believe that we can all learn from one another's' unique backgrounds, qualities, and skills. We believe that we are all accountable to each other to ensure that our students are provided with the best opportunities possible that would not otherwise exist without the collective efforts of all stakeholders. The teachers and staff at Desert Rose Academy promote an educational system with a rich academic rigor which values diversity and provides an equitable learning opportunity in a safe environment for all students. The families, community, and staff join as partners to educate and empower students, preparing them for their future. Family Owned and Operated Sales, Breeding and Boarding in Tucson Since 1965 El Moro Arabians was established in 1965 as a breeding, training, showing and sales operation solely operated by the Clyde Gilmore Family. We are located in the Northwest part of Tucson, AZ Not too far from the Freeway or the downtown area. Presently we maintain 26 horses and can accommodate 35. Eight of the horses are owned by persons that board and ride their horses for training and pleasureat El Moro. On of the persons owning a horse boarded with us which he used for competition, has now entered into partnership with us in the Egyptian/Crabbet cross. El Moro Egyptian Arabians evolved from the purchase of Egyptian Stallions and mares that perpetuate the "Straight" Egyptian horse-those that can trace their lineage to all horses bred in Egypt and then exported to U.S. The 1965 El Moro Arabians was started with mares of Crabbett breeding,(English). Those mares were bred to Egyptian stallions owned by other breeding farms, Many of those progeny made a show string for us. We traveled to all of the contiguous states from Arizona to show our horses. It was a very good way to advertise-from those travels we sold many horses and made some very long time friends. At present we are concentrating on a young group of Straight Egyptian and Egyptian cross with the remaining Crabbet line . They are being trained for the show ring this fall-2014. One young gelding has already garnered many ribbons in the show ring. He is of our breeding , but owned by a friend and client. His picture will be presented in one of our........? with his owner Randy Reed. Visual contact and bringing home the ribbons from a show are a great marketing tool. Upon request there is a sales list of mares and geldings, also pedigrees of the stallions are available. One aspect in the sale of one of our horses is we follow through with the new owner for mentoring any aspect they require for a positive relationshi...
