Principals Lee's letter to current and future students of Desert Rose Academy, a Tucson High School: Desert Rose Academy is a public education institution serving a diverse community. We provide an equitable learning opportunity in a safe environment for all students. We exist to educate and empower students for present and prepare them for the future. Our mission is to enhance the educational system by providing an equitable learning opportunity in a safe environment for all students. Our goal here at Desert Rose is for students, their parents, the community and staff to join in as partners to educate and empower students for present and future individual achievement, to promote contribution to their community, and to prepare them to compete in a constantly changing global society. We believe Desert Rose and the community can join in a partnership to provide a safe, attractive, and orderly learning environment. This positive climate promotes healthy lifestyles, where students realize the importance of lifelong learning, take responsibility for high personal and educational standards, and feel a greater sense of self-worth and belonging. This partnership strives for a standard of excellence where all students achieve their highest personal and educational goals. In this learning environment students will graduate prepared to pursue their life choices and to attain their personal visions of success through the following areas: Respect, Responsibility and Pride – We value self-respect and respect for others at all times and on all levels, including the community, parents, staff and students.
