Principals Vigilant's letter to current and future students of Pima Rose Academy, a Tucson High School: On behalf of the teachers and staff at Pima Rose Academy, welcome to yet another exciting and fulfilling school year! It is with great pride and excitement as I write to you in joining the Pima Rose Academy Team alongside with the dedicated staff and teachers! Pima Rose Academy is a school that continues the tradition and mission of honoring the promise of education. The partnerships that exist between the dedicated staff, families and community are evident and play a pivotal role in responding to the needs of every child that attends PRA. I am eager to continue this positive school culture and forge strong connections to ensure the best education possible for our students. It is my desire to work collaboratively with you and PRA's teachers and staff to provide students with a foundation for success as they move on to achieve their post high school goals. Although our curriculum is computer based, it requires students to: be focused, ready to learn, earn credit and graduate from high school. This year, we will be offering "traditional style" classroom settings to accommodate all learners. Students will be in assigned classrooms for the session in which they are attending. Just another way that PRA is honoring the promise of education. We give students our BEST: B- Belief E- Encouragement S-Support T- Time Your journey to success at PRA begins with an academic planning session with your academic advising team. We will work together to plan your courses, determine your graduation date and set a course for your post high school goals. We will track your progress and make sure that you are on track with graduation and accomplishing your post high school goals. In order to provide us with a time to meet before the start of school, Pima Rose Academy will be hosting two open houses: July 23th 2014, from 3-5 pm and July 26th 2014 from 10-12p. Designed for parents, guardians, students and community members, this will give me an opportunity to introduce myself and also get some input from you about Pima Rose Academy. This will also be a chance for me to meet students and get to know them better. During this time, I will also be offering some building tours for families and students that are new to Pima and explaining more about our programs. If none of the above dates fits in your schedule, then please be advised that I have an open door policy and I invite and welcome you to drop in anytime. We all have an internal compass that gives a direction in life and purpose in our decision making process. Doing what is best for the students and staff at PRA is what guides and directs my choices. It is my "North." Therefore, I ask you, "What is your North?" I anticipate a most successful year as my team and I support the academic, social, and emotional growth of your child here at PRA.
