Dance On The Vine

📍 445 E Northwest Highway, Grapevine, TX, 76051

DANCE on the Vine Inc. is a dance studio that caters to all ages and interests. The primary goal is to create a social environment where not only all ages can learn to dance, but where each member of the family can have fun together sharing a common interest. Ballroom dancing, which is the main focus at DANCE on the Vine, brings everyone to a social grace that spans decades. Many schools/clubs in the DFW Metroplex teach adults the grace of the Waltz, the passion of the Tango and the vitality of Cha Cha but few open up to the adults of tomorrow. Why not let the young have the exhilaration of musical expression, great exercise and a chance to hone skills and etiquette that will not only last a lifetime, but can be used many times throughout their life. As well as ballroom dancing being popular and fun, there is the exercise aspect to consider. As we see and read everywhere the average American does not get enough exercise, ballroom dancing is one of the best forms of exercise, and much more fun than a treadmill. Most people are not aware of how many health benefits are being provided when they are socializing and having fun dancing Ballroom or Latin with a partner. In addition to Ballroom, Latin and Country Western dancing we will offer a wide range of other dance disciplines, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, etc. etc. and other dance related services, shoes, music, costumes, room hire, parties. Individual Lessons - Booked in advance with one teacher, these allow the individual or couple to learn at their own pace, on their own dance selections, and of course on their own schedule. Individual lessons can be expanded to include a group of friends or the whole family. Youth Group Classes - Grouped by age there is a fun schedule of classes for children/teens to learn all types of dance. Year round, our main schedule is 60 or 90 minute classes (depending on age and discipline) from 9 am on Saturdays and after 3:30 pm on school days. To keep it fun and simple enough for the beginner, we will intersperse line dances and party dances into the curriculum. With the 90-minute class time, it gives parents a chance to drop off and run an errand or two before class is over. As youngsters progress they will obviously have the range of dance and material increased. Adult Group Classes - A variety of adult classes will run in the evening continuously throughout the year. Each ‘course’ will include 8 - 12 classes of instruction and practice for either individuals or couples at a set fee. To overcome adult’s busy schedules we will run comparable ‘courses’ at different days/times giving everyone enough flexibility to attend. Social Evenings – Social evenings are a chance for everyone to come along and practice his or her social dancing. These evenings will be really, like going out to a dance, there will not be any teaching as such but there will be a variety of music for practice and some organized mixer and party dances depending on the age group.
