Family martial arts American Institute of Korean Martial Arts (A.I.O.K.M.A) is dedicated to training families with the skills needed for modern self defense. A.I.O.K.M.A serves young children, teens and adults. OUR service includes: Women’s Self-Defense, for women and teen girls; Defend Your Self, for men and boys; and Tiny Dragons Program, for young children. All programs cover advanced techniques such as self-defense against: chokes holds, grabs, locks, falls trips, all strikes and all kicks. It also covers defense against basic weapons which attackers use today. Each program is unique for individual age groups and gender but all learn the same principles passed from generation to generation. Young adults gain discipline and respect. Parents learn to protect their family and their investments. A.I.O.K.M.A. System has a very low injury rate. AIOKMA teaches moo duk kwon based Tae kwon do, Olympic tae kwon do WTF, ITA ,grappling throws and take downs, sweeps, wrist locks and throws with the Korean arts Hapkido, Tang soo Do, Moo Duk Kwan, and most traditional weapons. We do not teach only sport tae kwon do (TKD) or traditional TKD, but a cohesive harmonized hybrid of both systems. Students experience martial arts as a whole instead of just one particular style. However we heavily use Korean martial arts to continue structure and patterns that relate to each martial art. At A.I.O.K.M.A. We believe like the marine corps that men are born with three parts. The parts are the spirit, mind, and body. We believe martial arts are the way to merge the three successfully. We believe the human body can not function at its peek efficiency unless, this tri-level bond is established. Once this bond is successfully completed, we are able to tap-in to our super human abilities and function in many efforts seamlessly. We firmly believe unless we teach the old ways, we will still be merely athletes with no enlightenment and without the ability to purposely tap into spiritual enlightenment
